The opportunity

As a Job Coach, you will help participants take meaningful steps toward their fullest potential. This role is built on relationship, trust, and mentorship. You’ll serve as a role model, advocate, and guiding voice while supporting individuals as they build skills, confidence, and independence in the workplace.

This is a seasonal opportunity with paid training and a defined program schedule.

  • What you’ll do
  • Provide case management, mentorship, and career guidance to assigned participants
  • Assist with goal setting and development of individualized success plans
  • Monitor workplace performance and provide coaching to improve skills and behaviors
  • Review job requirements and help participants build the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for success
  • Serve as a liaison between participants and employers to ensure clear communication and expectations
  • Advocate for participants to ensure dignity, respect, and appropriate workplace accommodations
  • Maintain regular contact and provide ongoing encouragement and support
  • Document all participant interactions in accordance with grant guidelines
  • Maintain accurate case notes, documentation, billable time, and mileage records
  • Maintain organized and confidential case files
  • Connect participants and families with outside resources when needed
  • Develop and implement follow-up support plans
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow all Goodwill policies and safety procedures
  • Schedule & program details
  • Paid training begins mid-to-late May
  • Program runs June 2 – August 7
  • Work schedule: Tuesday – Friday
  • Training includes one Saturday session in May
  • Daily hours: 9:45am – 3:30pm
  • Additional paid time for transporting youth (if applicable)
  • Approximately 28 hours per week
  • What we’re looking for
