Role Overview The Chapel Teacher supports the spiritual life of Covenant Christian Academy by leading and coordinating chapel experiences, equipping teachers with devotional resources, and fostering a culture of prayer and discipleship across the school community.
- Core Responsibilities Chapel Leadership & Teaching Prepare and deliver chapel messages for assigned grade levels Help cultivate engaging, Christ-centered chapel experiences Collaborate with the Spiritual Life Team to ensure alignment with school-wide discipleship goals Chapel Coordination Coordinate and manage the chapel schedule Identify, schedule, and support guest speakers for chapels Communicate clearly with all participants to ensure smooth execution of chapels Devotional Support Provide devotional questions, themes, or resources to support classroom discipleship (K–12) Encourage consistency and depth in spiritual conversations happening in classrooms Prayer & Spiritual Care Pray regularly for students, staff, and the broader school community Be a visible spiritual presence who supports and encourages staff and students Collaboration & Discipleship Support Work closely with the Chapel and Spiritual Life Team to support a flourishing discipleship program Collaborate with House System leadership to encourage meaningful service opportunities Support whole-community spiritual events (Christmas, Easter, Grandparents, Pastor Chapels) Contribute ideas and support initiatives that strengthen the spiritual culture of the school Required Personal Qualities A committed follower of Jesus Christ with a clear testimony of faith Agreement with Covenant Christian Academy’s Statement of Faith Demonstrates a life of prayer, spiritual maturity, and Christ-centered leadership Strong relational skills with a heart for students and staff Organized, flexible, and able to coordinate multiple moving parts A servant leader who contributes to a positive and unified school culture Recognize the role of parents as primarily responsible before God for their children’s education and be prepared to assist them in that task.
