Job description

  • Specific Responsibilities
  • Supervise a safe and secure environment both physically and emotionally for parent-child visits.
  • Provide education to parents on parenting techniques and child development.
  • Monitor interactions and offer constructive feedback and support.
  • Deliver coaching during parent-child interactions and follow-up sessions.
  • Assist families with completing applications and required documentation.
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports detailing family progress and recommendations.
  • Participate in monthly team meetings, Family Team Conferences, Discharge Conferences, and group supervision to help develop and implement service plans.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field from an accredited college or university (degrees in other disciplines will be fully considered).
  • Strong writing skills and proficiency in basic computer applications, including email, word processing, and internet research.
  • Working Conditions
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week (Tuesday–Saturday); schedule based on program needs and parent/child visit times; some holidays required.
  • Position requires driving; must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License and pass a DMV driving record check.
  • Agency vehicles are available for work-related travel.
