Summary of the Position

  • The Employment Instructor assists with Supported Employment through the OVR program for the summer program. Daytime hours are required to support youth during the summer work programming.
  • Instructor will contact and meet with area employers to establish relationships.
  • Develop supportive relationships with participants.
  • Help prepare employment proposals and negotiate job opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance.
  • Assist with development of job readiness skills and interviewing skills.

This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, and activity reimbursement.

Hourly Rate

$30 per hour face-to-face and $16.00 per hour non-face to face

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • High School or GED required with minimum one year of paid experience working with young adults.
  • Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
  • Experience working with at risk youth and families as well as employers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
  • Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage.
  • Bilingual/Spanish Speaking Candidates a plus.
