Elementary Teacher (Kindergarten–8th Grade)

Location: Willie Jeffries School of Excellence

Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Reports To: Principal

Position Overview

The Teacher K-8 for School Year 2026-2027 is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in grades K–8. This role involves planning and implementing lessons, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards.
  • Assess student performance and provide feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices.
  • Uphold school policies and procedures.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
  • Valid South Carolina teaching certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of K-8 Education best practices.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements
