Are you ready to make an IMPACT from day one? Nestled just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles North of Knoxville, in a small, quaint, beautiful town, called Andersonville, sits Norris Academy, a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders, and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis.
Compensation Range
$18 per hour. Schedule includes 4 hours of guaranteed overtime each pay period.

What you will do
- A day in the life of a Behavioral Health Technician at Norris Academy is rarely the same, HARD WORK, EXCITING, IMPACTFUL, and very REWARDING. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you are helping to care for and support youth that are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This is a 100% onsite position.
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist residents with personal care tasks
- Support independent living skills and treatment goals
- Ensure residents safety at all times
- Enforce facility rules, policies, and routines
To be considered you should
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Be able to pass a background screening, drug test, and physical
- Have at least 1 year experience working with autistic youth
- Have a passion to work with and help children
Schedule/hours/shifts
Our 4 days on, 3 days off (opposite the 2nd week) schedule, allows our employees more time to rest, take care of personal affairs, and reduces burnout. Schedule choices are as follows;
1. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Every Other Wednesday 7am-7: 30pm
2. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Every Other Wednesday 7am- 7: 30pm
