Position: Upper School Sub
Reports to: Upper School Principal
Position type: Non-Exempt, Seasonal
Position Summary
Provide classroom coverage when teachers are out. Teaching students in 9th-12th grade classrooms through a kingdom mindset and through a biblical worldview. The mission of CCS is to inspire students and families to follow Jesus.
Qualities + qualifications
Uphold Biblical priorities through a growing personal relationship with Jesus.
Become an active member of FB Concord or be an active member of a local like-minded bible teaching church
Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
Encompass the qualities and characteristics of Concord staff members as outlined in our Staff Values.
Bachelors or higher degree
Teaching experience preferred
1stAid/CPR certification preferred – able to obtain upon hire
Responsibilities: Be prepared to teach any lesson left by teacher (in all content areas)
Maintain a positive, structured environment
Manage classroom behavior effectively, seeking assistance when needed
Supervise students during activities, transitions, recess and all school day events
Communicate effectively with teachers and administration on behavior or significant issues
Leave classroom tidy and organized
Complete daily documentation for teacher who was absent
Comply with all CCS policies, practices and procedures
Ensure personal professional attire is adhered to
Work to ensure that confidentiality is maintained by faculty and staff as it pertains to student discipline, academic struggles or staff issues
Participate in other CCS events as assigned or requested by Principal
Working conditions
Typically, a 5-day work week in an office environment. Working with various socio-economic groups, ages and nationalities.
