Job description
As a strength and conditioning coach, you will work with other coaches to develop periodization plans that ensure peak performance during championships. You will create sport-specific development plans for student-athletes and manage injury prevention or rehabilitation. Among other duties, you will oversee athletes and workouts in SCAD fitness facilities and provide technical instruction for strength and conditioning movements to student-athletes and coaches. Additionally, you will keep detailed records of student-athlete workouts, provide regular reports to the coaching staff, and maintain knowledge of best practices in performance training and injury-prehabilitation for athletes.
The ideal candidate demonstrates organization and communication skills. They are a highly motivated, positive person who uses current industry-leading knowledge and training techniques to maximize sport-specific athletic performance. The candidate also knows different training modalities to support individual sport requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least one year of experience working in strength and conditioning field training
- Ability to travel with teams, including nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the college athletics environment
Certificates, licenses, and registrations
- Certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) or equivalent strength and conditioning certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Valid passport

- The university work week is Sunday through Saturday.
