Job description
- Westminster Christian Academy is currently full-time Paraeducators to join our Special Services team in the 2026-27 academic year.
- Founded in 1976 as an independent, coeducational school, Westminster Christian Academy provides a comprehensive college preparatory program for 970 students in grades 7 through 12.
- The school is located in suburban St.
- Louis County, Missouri, on a 70-acre campus, 20 minutes from downtown St.
- Louis.
Westminster Christian Academy honors Jesus Christ by providing an excellent education, rooted in biblical truth as interpreted by the Westminster Confession of Faith, for the children of Christian parents. Faculty and staff enable students to discover and embrace a biblical view of the world and integrate that view into every area of life.
- The Paraeducator will work under the supervision of the Special Services Case Manager.
- The Para will support students with diagnosed disabilities in the area of academic content by providing explanation, reteaching, modifications to curriculum and accommodations as outlined by the Case Manager.
- The Para will also support in the areas of self-regulation, social cueing and discipline.
- This is a full-time, 10-month position.
- Full benefits will be offered including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life, disability, and a 75% tuition remission for students at Westminster.
- Starting pay is $16.50/hour.
Qualifications
- A clear testimony of a personal saving relationship with Jesus Christ
- Membership or faithful attendance at an approved Protestant church congregation
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Two or more years of experience in an education setting
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under the direction of others
- Positive attitude with demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
