Our client is seeking a dedicated Paediatric Occupational Therapist to provide specialist OT provision to pupils with autism. This role involves delivering high-quality assessment, intervention, and support within an educational setting, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure pupils achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities
- Clinical Practice and Intervention
- Maintain responsibility for OT interventions, ensuring high standards of care.
- Provide direct therapy to pupils as outlined in their EHCPs.
- Deliver small group OT sessions and develop individualized and class-based intervention programs.
- Embed OT strategies throughout the school environment.
- Collaborate with a wider team of therapists and adhere to professional ethical standards.
- Assessment and Equipment
- Conduct comprehensive assessments using appropriate tools.
- Assess for specialist equipment, make recommendations, and ensure safe setup.
- Train parents, carers, and staff in equipment use and monitor safety.
- Training and Support
- Plan and deliver staff training sessions and parent information sessions.
- Support the implementation of OT strategies across the school environment.
- Professional Standards
- Maintain accurate clinical records, write detailed reports, and contribute to reviews.
- Manage workload efficiently and participate in CPD activities.
- Stay current with research, guidelines, and legislation relevant to practice.
- Multi-Disciplinary Working
- Collaborate effectively with education staff, therapists, and other professionals.
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary assessments and provide specialist advice.
