Position Summary

The Program Tech/Therapist plays a vital role in fostering a safe, supportive, and recovery-oriented virtual treatment environment for individuals with eating disorders. This position combines clinical support, group facilitation, and milieu management to enhance patient engagement, reinforce therapeutic skills, and ensure continuity of care within the VIOP setting. Key Responsibilities Facilitate virtual group therapy, psychoeducation, skills groups, and community-building sessions. Provide supportive check-ins with patients to reinforce treatment goals and encourage skill application. Monitor the virtual milieu to promote safety, participation, and adherence to program guidelines. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team (therapists, dietitians, psychiatrists, etc.) to support individualized treatment plans. Document patient progress, group participation, and notable clinical observations in accordance with program and compliance standards. Assist with meal therapy and snack support, providing encouragement and therapeutic interventions as needed. Promote a culture of openness, respect, and non-judgment to foster a safe and inclusive virtual community. Support crisis management and escalate clinical concerns appropriately to the treatment team. Participate in staff meetings, supervision, and ongoing training to ensure alignment with best practices in eating disorder care. Qualifications Bachelors’ degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field required. Experience working with eating disorders and/or higher level of care treatment preferred. Strong skills in group facilitation, therapeutic rapport building, and milieu management preferred. Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills preferred.
