- Description: This position reports to the elementary after care coordinator and the elementary school principal. The after care worker will monitor students in a safe, orderly, and positive environment after school. They will also contribute to their behavior by helping them develop as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. Qualifications Sixteen years of age and attending high school or eighteen years of age with a high school diploma. Previous child care experience preferred Willing to complete any courses necessary such as CPR A lifestyle of biblical integrity A spirit of dedication, teamwork, flexibility, and responsiveness to counsel Acceptance without reservation of the OCS Parent Covenant, Statement of Faith, Statement on Marriage and Sexuality,Statement of Diversity and Core Values
Duties and Responsibilities
Spiritual Models a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ in speech, actions, attitudes Actively involved in church Follows Matthew 18 principle in dealing with interpersonal conflict Encourages students to accept God’s gift of salvation and grow in their faith General Monitor students in the times and locations designated Encourage students to set and maintain desired expectations Attend meetings as required Maintains confidentiality with all school and student information Non-instructional and Professional Adheres to all policies and procedures governing the operation of the school Proactively communicates with parents and administrators Arrives punctually Maintains professional dress and appearance Uses standard English in written and oral communication Demonstrates the character qualities of courtesy, friendliness, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, and perseverance Meets everyday stress with emotional stability Responds respectfully and is loyal to constituted authority Represents the school in a favorable and professional manner to its constituency Qualifications
