Job description

The mission of Community Action Programs Cayuga/Seneca (CAP) is to respectfully assist people to achieve and sustain self-sufficiency through direct services, education, and community partnerships.

CAP is seeking a Classroom Aide for the Early Head Start Program. The Classroom Aide assists in providing high quality and comprehensive early child development service inclusive of children with special needs.

The Classroom Aide must meet the following minimum qualifications

Child Development Associates credential (CDA) is preferred; or a high school diploma or GED and enrolled in a program leading to a Child Development Associates credential to be completed within two years; or be enrolled in a program leading to an associate's degree or Baccalaureate degree in early childhood development. Experience working with pre-school aged children. Reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license are required.

This is a full-time, 10-month position. The pay rate is $16.70/hr, 37.5 hrs/wk, 45 wks/yr.
