Instructional assignments are based in Pasadena, California, with opportunities for off-site and online teaching. About the Position
The Department of Early Childhood Education prepares educators and practitioners who are committed to equity, inclusion, and the well-being of children, families, and communities through reflective, socially just, and practice-informed education. The Adjunct Professor delivers high-quality undergraduate instruction that bridges theory and professional practice, supporting adult learners through equity-centered, constructivist, and trauma-informed pedagogy. Responsibilities Teach graduate-level Early Childhood Education courses within the Master of Arts program. Engage adult learners through inclusive pedagogy. Assess student learning and maintain records. Foster respectful and supportive learning environments. Communicate professionally with students and academic leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. Relevant professional experience in Early Childhood Education. Knowledge of adult learning theory. Doctorate in Early Childhood Education or related field. Publications or research in early childhood education. Proficiency in Canvas LMS, Microsoft Office Suite, and online teaching tools.
