- Description: A Nursery/Childcare Worker is responsible for overseeing the needs, care and safety of children within their care
- Requirements: Should enjoy children and desire for them to know of God’s love and concern for their lives Shows a warm and welcoming attitude Able to be flexible and creatively problem solve in complex situations Able to work quickly and responsibly in an ever-changing environment Able to keep confidential information that is private and personal in nature Successfully pass Live Scan criminal background check prior to hire CPR/First Aid certified Obtain certificate of negative result for

- Responsibilities: Care for the safety and spiritual, physical and mental well-being of the children Cheerfully greet/dismiss children and parents at check-in and check-out Lead assigned daily activities with children Communicate effectively and respectfully, both orally and in writing, with parents and coworkers Care for, sanitize and return all equipment to its proper place Report any necessary repairs to Nursery Coordinator and/or Children’s Ministry Director Read the Nursery handbook in its entirety and have a working knowledge of its contents

- Expectations: Actively and collaboratively participate as a member of the Nursery team Keep phone and email communications responsive Possess a positive, fun and outgoing attitude with children Work well with others (be a team player) Act quickly and exercise independent, mature judgment Be faithful in attendance, arriving at or before the time scheduled by the Supervisor Participate in at least two pre-arranged meetings every 12 months Willingness to be flexible with work schedule when necessary, including working Sundays and some holidays such as, but not limited to Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas Eve, etc. as well as various special events such as, but not limited to VBS, Rancho Family Christmas, Patriotic Program, etc. Perform all other duties as assigned
