Job description

Position Summary

The Summer Programs Job Coach assists high school students with disabilities with employment supports. This position utilizes individualized techniques and teaching strategies to support individuals on the job. Ensures supports provided meet organizational guidelines, funder requirements and accreditation standards.

Essential Functions

  • Promotes building work-related skills and independence on the job.
  • Provides training, coaching, feedback and tools for individualized supports including building natural supports in the work environment.
  • Assesses job site appropriateness, natural supports, and work culture to ensure a good fit between individuals and organizations.
  • Reviews service plans and individual progress for satisfaction of services and quality assurance.
  • Completes accurate log notes and data collection which reflect progress on plan goals.
  • Participates in staff meetings, departmental trainings for on-going growth and development.

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Qualifications

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree or bachelor's degree in human services or business-related field preferred.
  • At least one year of experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Experience working in supported employment preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • This position may work day, evening, and/or weekend hours depending on the needs of the organization.
  • This positon requires driving personal vehicle to travel to job sites. May be required to transport individuals to worksite locations.
  • Must have reliable vehicle and maintain current driver's license and proof of insurance.
  • Must complete and maintain all required trainings/certifications.
  • Must maintain confidential information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
