Summary Serves as the liaison between Goodwill Keystone Area (GKA) and the Project Search transition sites by providing training and coaching to Project Search interns. Utilizes evidence-based practices to support successful completion of initial or return-to-work employment objectives of our clients identified by Project Search partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitates successful job placement of interns by providing training, supervision, guidance, and teaching compensatory strategies to learn job tasks and work behaviors on internship sites. Works with the Project Search Instructor in the classroom to help build employability skills that will transfer to a community-based employment setting. Monitors intern status on rotation sites by visiting works sites daily to speak with supervisors, managers, mentors and observe and record intern work behaviors. Provides on the job training and follow-up services. Communicates intern progress by properly documenting regular evaluations/assessments of interns using the Project Search evaluation tool. Attends and participates in weekly/monthly meetings to review intern progress, discuss and problem solve issues, plans for future opportunities for interns. Contributes to the successful placement of interns on rotation sites by observing potential job activities for interns and completing/writing thorough task analyses. Assists departments and Project Search staff with developing accurate internship job descriptions. Meets with and makes recommendations to supervisors, managers, mentors as to job site modifications and accommodations. Assists in coordination of internship sites, including scheduling interviews with managers. Maintains communication with GKA associates, Project Search staff, families, and other service providers regarding intern progress. Provides assistance with education and disability awareness training to department managers, supervisors, and mentors. Instructs interns by providing training to interns, either as a group or one-to-one, on such topics as riding a bus, time-management, assertiveness, and other areas which impact their job performance. Provides training on topics related to job readiness, job search, and building skills that will lead to job retention utilizing Project Search and other related curriculum material. Handles all client information according to confidentiality policies established by GKA and all other governing entities. Promotes an environment of workplace safety by training and informing others regarding safety standards/precautions. Monitors safety and takes corrective action. Ensures that regulatory safety requirements are adhered to. Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Services Manager. #INDHP QualificationsEducation and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or relevant field; or Associate’s degree in Human Services with two (2) years’ experience in the relevant field; or High School diploma or GED equivalent and four (4) years’ relevant experience which enables the individual to meet the standards and expectations of the position. Skills/Abilities/Qualifications Must be able to obtain and maintain ACRE Certification. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and satisfactorily complete a motor vehicle check on an annual basis. Must possess good communication skills. Must present self in a professional manner. Must be able to work maturely with confidential information. Ability to prioritize and organize work under minimal supervision. Ability to work beyond normal schedule as needed. Must complete and successfully pass Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI Clearance.
