Responsibilities

Promote a balanced, healthy, safe and open environment for clients. Provide school and home based, evaluations, family and individual outpatient counseling to children/adolescents in the school setting Follow all trauma informed practices Advocate for clients’ needs within the program as well as with external agencies. Maintain up-to-date client records including written evaluations, treatment plans, quarterly reviews, termination summaries and progress notes. Attend trainings as assigned; maintain necessary certifications (CPR/First Aid, MAP, HR/DPPC). Attends and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings Ensure that clients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with Advocates Human Rights Policy. Adhere to all principles related to the Advocates Way Perform all duties in accordance with the agency’s policies and procedures. Strictly follow all agency Performance Standards.

Qualifications

MSW degree or MA in related field from an accredited college/university, and one year of experience working within an outpatient setting preferred. Degree must be eligible for independent licensure. Ability to work with children and families in the community Excellent verbal and written communication skill, including documentation abilities. Intuitive, client-centered, supportive approach. Ability to thrive in an independent role while offering and receiving team support. Must hold a valid driver's license and access to an operational and insured vehicle. Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
